Цели:

Образовательная – знакомство с различными жанрами кино, новыми лексическими единицами; совершенствование лексико-грамматических навыков говорения;

Развивающая - развитие способности к догадке; умственных качеств: гибкости и логичности, коммуникабельности; способности осуществлять репродуктивные и продуктивные речевые действия;

Воспитательная - воспитание толерантного отношения к мнению других людей.

Задачи урока: Практиковать чтение / аудирование (детальное и полное понимание текста); практиковать моно-диалогическую речь; совершенствовать навыки работы в парах и группах.
Оборудование: видео-ролики разных жанров кино, слайд-шоу,

УМК авт. В.П. Кузовлева к учебнику 10-11 класс, иллюстрации с фрагментами фильмов и фотографиями актеров.

(на классной доске - матрица с фамилиями учеников и видами деятельности. В ходе урока учитель оценивает активность каждого ученика. В конце урока легко вывести итоговую отметку).

Hello, my dear! How are you? I`m glad to see you! Today we have a lot of guests, let`s greet them. We`ll work as usual, please, don`t be shy!We`ll continue to speak about the cinema and the theme of our lesson is ``FILM! FILM! Film!`` We`ll practice reading and listening for the main idea, and for detail. We`ll speak about genres of films you like or dislike in pairs. We`ll see several video rollicks and try to define their genres. We`ll speak about films a lot.
T.- Hollywood! What is it? A country, an island, a city or district of the city?

P1.-A district of the city.

T.-Where is it situated? In Russia, the USA, Australia, New Zealand or the UK?

P2-It is situated in the USA, Los Angeles, California

T-What is Hollywood famous for?

P3-It is the centre of US film industry.

T-What the biggest film companies do you know?

P4-I know MGM, Paramount, 20^th Century Fox, Columbia Pictures, Warner Bros.

T-What kind of films were the 1^st films?

P5-They were silent & black and white short films.

T-What was the 1^st colour film?

P6-«Gone with the wind».

T- Where is the Russian film making industry situated?

P7-In St. Petersburg & Moscow.

T-Who founded the 1^st film studious?

P8- Khanzhonkov.

T- What genres of film do you know?

P9-Action, thriller, melodrama, horror, tragedy, science fiction, comedy, detective, western, musical, etc.

2. Listening for detail

T-Listening to the description of the films and find out (guess) their genres.

a) The Hound of the Baskervilles

Dartmoor: a wild, wet and dangerous place in the South – West of England. A man is running for his life. Behind him comes an enormous dog- a dog from his worst dreams, a dog from hell. Between him and a terrible death stands only one person-

d) St. Agnes` Stand

Swanson has killed a man and is on the run from the dead man`s friends. His plans of escape are ruined by a nun called Sister St.Agnes, who needs his help to save her and the group of children from Apache Indians. This is a beautiful story about the American West. ( western)
